Alchemedia and Diversified Exhibitions Australia have forged a partnership to ensure the continued growth and success of Australia’s premier event for professional light, sound and vision.
Alchemedia launched Integrate in 2009 and it quickly established itself as an event of real substance, attracting large numbers of high quality audiovisual, sound, lighting and ICT professionals from across the region. Its association with InfoComm International – formalised in 2010 – has given Integrate a further shot in the arm, cementing its professional audiovisual and ICT credentials. Alchemedia also publishes a number of key industry magazines. These titles include AV, AudioTechnology, Venue, DigitalSignage and the Guerrilla Guide to Recording & Production.
Diversified Exhibitions has been operating in Australia for some 30 years. Annually it runs more than 30 of the biggest industry-specific trade and consumer shows in Australia, including PALM India, DesignBuild, DesignEx, Security Exhibition, Good Food & Wine Show, and Hotel Hospitality & Design. Diversified Exhibitions Australia is itself a subsidiary of a global exhibition and events corporation and has strong ties to the pro audio, audiovisual and lighting sector worldwide.
The partnership will bear fruit in a number of ways:
• Integrate will access the considerable global clout of Diversified Events. Its database will broaden Integrate’s reach into complementary sectors (such as specifiers, architects, project managers), as well as bring more international visitors to the show.
• Integrate is staged at the Royal Hall of Industries and Hordern Pavilion, Moore Park, Sydney. The venue is wonderful in many respects – with its position, ease of access, parking, the EQ precinct etc – but has certain limitations, including restricted growth potential and few conferencing options. Integrate and Diversified Exhibitions is delighted to announce that next year the show will be staged from Tuesday 21st August to Thursday 23rd August 2012 at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre (SCEC) – more space, more conferencing and seminar presentation options, and more accessible to hotels and other accommodation.
• It’s great news for the pro sound, light and vision industries, which will have media and an exhibition working in concert; truly in tune with its needs, providing ongoing industry coverage and support.
Matthew Pearce, Managing Director of Diversified Communications Asia: “Diversified Exhibitions is delighted to partner with Alchemedia. Diversified is proud of its record – we’ve won the EEAA’s ‘Best Trade Show over 10,000sqm’ for the last three years, won ‘Best Consumer Show’ for the last three years and won ‘Best Australian Exhibition’ two out of the last three years – and we know a strong, well-organised show when we see it. Regionally, we run the largest pro audio, visual and lighting show – PALM India – and we can see there are opportunities for us to grow both the range of exhibitors and the level of international visitors to Integrate. With this strategic partnership I’ve no doubt we can drive Integrate forward to be a regional powerhouse in this sector.”
Event Director, Louise Brooks: “Everyone at Integrate is hugely excited by this partnership. Exhibitors will reap the rewards of the move to SCEC and the extra reach of Diversified Exhibitions. Meanwhile, attendees will have a better and more compelling show as a result. Integrate 2011 is shaping up to be our best show yet and the Integrate team looks forward to working with Diversified in 2012 to continue to develop Integrate’s potential. This is a great result for this region’s professional sound, light and vision industry.”
