Westinghouse is excited to announce its new product launch event, held in February this year, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2015 Australian Event Awards. The Westinghouse event, which was managed by Sydney events company, BORN CURIOUS, was held at the Exhibition Hall at Sydney’s Australian Technology Park and Atlantic Group in Docklands, Melbourne and hosted over 900 retailers and media across both events.
The large-scale, interactive event celebrated the launch of Westinghouse’s new appliances and told the brand story of practicality and pragmatism through a series of theatrical stage sets. The sets combined actors, products, projections and backdrops to reflect the everyday challenges of running a household with humorous mini-stories about the modern need for simple, practical appliances.
Westinghouse also used the event to announce its new brand ambassador, Julia Morris, who addressed the audience via a pre-recorded video.
National Brand and Trade Marketing Manager for Electrolux Home Products, Richelle Barker, said the company was thrilled to know the hard work both Westinghouse and BORN CURIOUS put into the event was being recognised.
“The Westinghouse launch event was a huge success from an internal perspective however to see the event recognised from external parties is a fantastic feat for Westinghouse and a testament to BORNCURIOUS. We loved orchestrating an event that was something different and interactive to make it a really special night for our guests. The venue looked spectacular and every guest had a smile on their face.”
Managing Director at BORNCURIOUS, Sarah Warn, said the team was humbled to be shortlisted and excited for the awards night.
“We love what we do every day and we work hard, so it’s always great to know that our work has been noticed and appreciated. Working on the Westinghouse event was such a highlight because we were able to get really creative with the enormous space that we had, and work with a brand like Westinghouse that really resonates to the Australian consumer celebrating real Australian family life.”
The winners of The Australian Event Awards 2015 will be announced on the 17th of November at Doltone House, Sydney.
