Aggreko, the global leader in the supply of temporary power and temperature control, has appointed George Whyte to be Managing Director, Aggreko Australia-Pacific, taking charge of the company’s Australian, New Zealand and Pacific Islands operations.
The announcement follows the appointment of Asterios Satrazemis, the region’s former Managing Director, to the position of Regional Director, Aggreko Americas, responsible for the company’s operations in North, Central and South America.
George, originally from Scotland, has worked with Aggreko in Australia for 13 years in a range of capacities, from sales consultant through to his most recent posting as Area General Manager for Aggreko Australia’s “South” region, running the business in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
“I’m excited to be leading Aggreko’s business in Australia and the Pacific as these markets further mature and as we navigate the changing landscape of the respective local economies,” said George. “Customers in our core markets are looking closely at how they can minimise cost while maximising value. We have to be more conscious than ever of delivering value and delighting our customers through providing unparalleled levels of quality and service.”
George will lead the continued geographical expansion of Aggreko throughout the region along with the on-going development of Aggreko’s power and temperature control offerings to key customer segments in mining, oil and gas, utilities, major events and industrial construction.
