Champagne corks are popping at the Australian Events Academy as MEA’s training department celebrates the graduation of over 50 students from the Diploma of Events course. A ceremony is to be held at Novotel Rockford Darling Harbour on Tuesday 25 November to mark the occasion and MEA can’t wait to congratulate and reward their students for their hard work.
Running over six months, MEA’s Diploma of Events course helps industry professionals plan better events. Student’s work with experienced industry professionals and passionate experts learning the ins-and-outs of the industry. The course covers a range of topics including customer service, sponsorship, event organisation and staging and production. Students leave the course well equipped to advance their career in the events industry with a nationally recognised qualification.
Gerard Ryan, from Fabmosphere, says the course has been extremely useful to network and update his knowledge.
“I have been working in the industry for many years. This course has updated me on the processes I knew and also given me new resources and information to help me get better outcomes for my clients. It has also provided me with some great industry connections through our weekly classes,” said Mr Ryan.
This year’s Diploma of Events course set a benchmark for expansion. With the popularity and success of the course, MEA are currently building a plan to expand the 2015 Diploma course and provide further training interstate.
