Driven by the demand from the meetings and events industry for online business tools, the Brisbane Event Planning Directory is now the go-to tool for those holding an event in Australia’s new world city.
The new Brisbane Event Planning Directory includes a powerful search engine and dynamic, up-to-date content, viewable on both tablets and smartphones, making this essential information easy to access anywhere, anytime.
Laura Edwards from conference management company The Conference Business said the directory provided everything an event planner needed at the initial and critical stages of planning.
“The site is a wonderful tool to use; it is quick to load, very easy to access; full of relevant and up to date information on product in Brisbane and very well designed,” Ms Edward said.
Australian Water Association QLD Branch Manager Sharon Ible said she recently used the new planner to organise the association’s president’s dinner, an invitation only dinner for leaders in the industry.
“The Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau’s Brisbane Event Planner is a great tool that enables event planners to search a wide range of venues in the one place. Being able to search key features makes my job a lot easier,” Ms Ible said.
Since its launch last year, the Brisbane Event Planning Directory has attracted over 230 business listings and more than 5000 searches for venues, accommodation and services.
Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau Director Annabel Sullivan said the directory, which is the first of its kind in Australia, was developed to help connect conference organisers with venues and services that suit their individual requirements.
“We spoke to our members and realised there was a definite need for a central Brisbane events planning directory and the response since its launch has confirmed that sentiment,” Ms Sullivan said.
Staging Connections Qld Sales Manager Susan Stewart said the event staging company was delighted to feature in the new event planning directory, supporting the industry and Brisbane as a destination.
“As a member, we value our partnership and the chance to leverage this opportunity to promote our services through this innovative and exciting on-line directory. The flexibility to upload and update images and copy, add video show reels, receive qualified leads and the reports and tracking capabilities are key benefits for us,” Ms Stewart said.
Brisbane’s business events industry is worth over $211 million dollars in economic value to Australia’s new world city and the lasting legacies and boost to the local economy is felt long after delegates leave the city.
Conferences also provide Brisbane’s business community with access to the latest information on their industry, bringing together leading industry minds from a number of geographical locations, to share knowledge and skills.
