The ISES Melbourne Chapter’s annual Student Conference at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins is set to deliver an outstanding line up of presenters and panellists on Monday, May 13, 2013.
This year’s theme, “Creative Events: Colour, Light and Sound,” will feature industry professionals from the fields of music, sport, hospitality, festivals, fashion and the corporate sector.
The line-up includes:
Jason Ayoubi, Director of Future Entertainment and the force behind many of Australia’s premier music events including Future Music Festival and Summadayze.
Mitch Catlin, Swisse Wellness, Head of Partnerships, Community and Media. Mitch is a media and marketing expert who has been the driving force behind Swisse signing some of Australia’s best known sporting identities and celebrities as Brand Ambassadors. Most recently Swisse announced Nicole Kidman as the company’s first Global Face and brought the Ellen DeGeneres Show to Australia.
Sherridan Green from the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. Sherridan has worked on 11 festivals and has managed the LMFF Business Seminar, Herald Sun Marketing Breakfast, Fashion Industry Forums and L’Oreal and Marie Claire Beauty Workshops.
Amanda Walker, Senior Corporate Account Manager of the Melbourne and Olympic Park Trust. The Melbourne and Olympic Park Trust showcased the spectacular business event “12.12.12” which transported industry members on an ethereal journey to the heavens and beyond.
A new element to the Conference this year is the Speed Star Sessions where presenters have five minutes to showcase their journey through the events industry and describe how their experiences culminated into their current role. This session will include Andrew Marsh from Norwest Productions who has produced spectacular audio and visuals major events such as the AFL Grand Final, TV Week Logie Awards and the London Olympics 2012.
With Master of Ceremonies, Nic Yates of Creative Entertainment Concepts and an official opening by the ISES Australasian Affiliate Chair, Jennifer Trethewey, as well as contributions from Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, Mirabella, Décor It Events, Showtime Events Centre, Top Dog Entertainment, Frozen Daiquiri Australia, Plan-it Roxie Event Management, St Kilda Festival, Pro Light and Sound, Soul Impressions Photography and Action Event Services, the ISES Student Conference will be invaluable for students wanting a career in major event management.
