At its industry conference this week, The Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) announced that from 2012 it has committed to an ongoing program of research which will measure the ongoing health of the exhibition industry.
The EEAA Market Monitor will be delivered every six months and be based on data collected from organisers, venues and suppliers. The research will be undertaken by Micromex, an independent research company with extensive exhibition sector experience.
The aim of the EEAA Market Monitor is to build trend data and a portfolio of evidence to share with members and provide statistical information that supports marketing efforts.
“But most importantly, the research will provide the facts to inform our advocacy and industry leadership work,” said Matthew Pearce, President, EEAA.
“This is a long-awaited development and I am very pleased that in partnership with Micromex we will see the creation of a valuable ongoing piece of work that can be used to tell a better, stronger, more credible story about the exhibition industry.”
The first report will be delivered at the EEAA 2012 Leaders Forum in the first half of 2012.
