EEAA has appointed ConExion Event Management to manage the organisation and delivery of its Industry Day Conference, to be held at Melbourne Convention Centre, 30 November 2010.
The EEAA annual conference is designed as an educational day for all sectors and level of staff experience within the exhibition industry, and traditionally comprises a mix of keynote speakers and special interest streams.
“Having previously run the event from the secretariat, this year we decided to seek specialist conference management assistance to alleviate the pressure on our internal resources but more importantly, to provide an external view of our industry and assist in refreshing the content offering,” said Margaret Crichton, General Manager, EEAA.
Crichton said the ConExion team, under the leadership of its managing director, Robyn Johnson, demonstrated a clear understanding of EEAA’s goals and outcomes for Industry Day.
“Our early brainstorming sessions have identified a number of themes and issues which our industry is now grappling with post-GFC and we are well on the way to finalising the draft program.”
Industry Day will be followed by the exhibition industry’s gala networking night when the EEAA Awards for Excellence will be presented.
The conference and awards are open to EEAA members only.
