The EEAA Young Stars steering committee has announced the appointment of Brad Booth from Moreton Hire as the inaugural Chairperson, an exciting development for the new Program.
The EEAA Young Stars Program was launched in July 2012 and aims to give younger members a platform to share their views, ideas and experiences as well the opportunity to have a bigger voice in the work of the Association.
The Committee has also announced the first event in Brisbane will be a Young Stars and Leaders Table to be held at the RNA Showgrounds on 23rd of April 2013. The event will provide an opportunity for face-to-face mentoring over dinner with an industry leader.
EEAA General Manger, Joyce DiMascio welcomed the selection of Brad to lead the Young Stars and to provide an interface with the association. She said Brad had showed great commitment to the initiative and played a key role in getting the Young Stars Program off the ground along with other committee members.
“He will be an excellent ambassador for the Program as he is passionate about the industry and works around Australia presenting the value of exhibitions to clients.” she said.
Brad Booth currently works at Moreton Hire. He took on the senior role of Business Development Manager in May 2012. Brad has been with the group since 2002 and has high level experience in leading the co-ordination of large scale exhibitions. He also spent two years abroad working with Melville, one of Europe’s leading exhibition supply companies.
Brad says he is honoured to be the Chairperson and is looking forward to working on a range of educational and training events for under 35s working in exhibitions and events.
“I see the EEAA Young Stars Program as an opportunity to set up a support network for younger people in the industry that was not available when I started out – it’s been an exciting first year and I’m looking forward to helping to develop the program and making it available to young colleagues around the country,” said Brad Booth.
Brad will work with members of the EEAA Young Stars Committee; Christine Philips – ExpoNet, Jessica Calder – Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Josh Dry – ShowGizmo, Camilla Lorraine – Gaffney Exhibition Support Services, Rachel Madden – Diversified Exhibitions, Fiona Morris – Exhibit Systems, Rachel Prior – Adelaide Convention Centre, Alli Reed – Reed Exhibitions, and Rebecca Tasker – Exhibitions and Trade Fairs, to deliver the events and program nationally.
Chief Operating Officer, Roger Motteram said that Moreton Hire was proud to have Brad Booth as the inaugural Chairperson of the EEAA Young Stars committee.
