After an extensive marketplace review and industry consultation we are pleased to announce that Event Conneqion has undergone some major changes designed to better service the market and confirm its position as the industry leader!
Event Conneqion will now be known as Queensland Event Expo.
The new name confers the event’s ownership to Queensland while maintaining its original position as the “Event” Expo, catering for the corporate and non-profit sectors including conferences, exhibitions, parties, dinners, lunches, product launches, meetings and social functions. The target audience will be event organisers in corporate organisations of all sizes, charities, fundraisers, schools and other non-profit organisations.
The new logo simultaneously reflects the famous Queensland sun and recognises the meeting of people as the key ingredient of the exhibition.
An ongoing frustration has been timing – in the past Event Conneqion followed AIME, playing second position to AIME other trade events in the first half of the year; the Queensland Event Expo will be run at a time most appropriate for the Queensland Events industry.
The Queensland Event Expo must be a catalyst for local business, and the past timing of Event Conneqion did not universally suit all participants, and event planning patterns. After extensive industry consultation we have moved the event to August 3-4, 2011.
This new date allows for an additional focus on Christmas and New Year business – giving Queensland Event providers the jump on the other states who rely upon AIME to capture these markets.
Save 20% on your stand cost if you book before 28 January 2011 – Organisers have also reviewed participation rates and found ways to roll back the costs, directly passing this saving on to exhibitors!
