Exceptional customer service proved the winning formula for Brisbane’s Absolute Events & Marketing, winning them two top industry honours at the Meetings & Events Australia Queensland (MEA) Awards. Not only did they win the Meetings and Events Management Organisation Less Than 8 Employees for the second year in a row, and Director, Susan Harris, was named Queensland’s Meetings Manager of the Year.
Absolute Events & Marketing, a Queensland-based national business events management company, is owned and managed by Susan Harris, an Accredited Meetings Manager (AMM) with more than 12 years of experience in organising hundreds of corporate events from small workshops to large conferences. She is one of the only three AMMs in Queensland.
Susan Harris said that “Delivering service with heart is what puts Absolute Events & Marketing ahead of other event organisers and helped us win these prestigious awards.”
“Only last week we celebrated our 5th year of business with clients and suppliers and launched a new mission statement – Conferences & Events with heart…. by people who care. Many clients and suppliers are thrilled as they know it’s what we do best – caring about the outcome of their event – so much so that it was a client that nominated me for the Meetings Manager of the Year Award”, she said.
Susan stated “In today’s challenging business world, companies are looking for experts they can rely on. Having a multi-award winning company at the helm of clients’ events give them peace of mind, as well as confidence in our longevity and knowledge.
Meetings and Events Australia or MEA is the peak industry body dedicated to fostering professionalism and excellence in all aspects of events management in Australia. MEA Awards are the premium accolade for best practice and outstanding performance in the Australian business events industry.
“Our team is extremely proud to win these MEA awards. It puts a stamp of recognition on our commitment to go the extra mile for our clients in ensuring the delivery of a successful event” said Ms Harris. Absolute Events & Marketing will now be finalists for the National MEA awards to be announced in Sydney on 24 April.
“Being a small team, we are able to work very closely with our clients. It helps us make quick decisions and keep the overheads to a minimum thus delivering the best possible value to our clients. Whether it’s a workshop for 20, or a public expo of 45,800 we make sure we exceed our clients expectations”, she added.
Since its inception in 2007, Absolute Events & Marketing has successfully organised a number of key national events including Department of Health & Ageing’s Home & Community Care National Conference, Department of Education & Training conferences and workshops, Australian Training Marketing Association 2010 Conference, EYEQ2010 – Elearn conference, SkillsTech Australia Staff Days, Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute’s Q150 Project, and the Australasian Law Teachers’ Association Conference. Her team recently organised the Work for Queensland Mining & Gas Jobs Expos where more than 45,800 people attended (that’s more than can fill The Gabba).
