Fresh Catering and Carriageworks are delighted to announce a new catering partnership which has seen Fresh take over the reigns (sic) as exclusive caterer at the Redfern-based multi-arts institution, Carriageworks.
Fresh commenced operations at the thriving arts venue in the first week of January for the 2013 Sydney Festival program at Carriageworks, launching with a temporary pop-up bar together with Asahi. Plans are underway for an exciting new permanent bar and dining concept to be launched in the early part of 2013.
Fresh Catering’s Managing Director, Peter McCloskey is delighted with the new collaboration. “Carriageworks is an outstanding arts and cultural institution which has achieved great success in the arts community. Together with Carriageworks, we recognise the huge potential this venue has in particular with the corporate market, with its ability to host special events such as the scale and size of Mercedes Benz Australia Fashion Week”.
“We also know that Carriageworks is a unique and popular space for Sydney’s arts and dining patrons. The industrial heritage site has become somewhat of an institution and we plan to create an experience that matches the uniqueness and excitement of the space. We will develop a great bar and food offering to please the most discerning customers”.
Carriageworks Director Lisa Havilah believes the partnership with Fresh Catering will further enhance the visitor experience, “Our partnership with Fresh Catering follows a year of record attendances at Carriageworks in 2012 and is sure to build on that growth by adding an exciting new food and beverage experience designed to complement our dynamic 2013 artistic program, which spans the visual arts, theatre, dance, film and music.”
Carriageworks is in fine company with Fresh’s other notable arts and cultural venues such as the Museum of Contemporary Art’s rooftop venues and café; Historic Houses Trust’s Vaucluse House Tea Rooms and Elizabeth Bay House; North Shore arts hub The Concourse at Chatswood; and Sydney Theatre Company’s The Bar at the End of the Wharf. Strengthening its position in the industry, Fresh Catering is also exclusive caterer, for the second year to Opera Australia’s Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour, Carmen.
