Hyatt Regency Coolum has served up an exciting new activity for corporate groups and conferences, testing delegates to see who can take the heat in the kitchen.
The new Hyatt Chef challenge adds flavour and adrenaline to a conference program, uncovering participants’ kitchen skills while rewarding their taste buds.
Based on Network Ten’s MasterChef, the event begins as a formal dinner, served in one of the resort’s function rooms where a secret kitchen has been hidden from guests’ view.
After an initial two courses prepared by the resort’s talented chefs, the Hyatt Chef kitchen is revealed to guests and the pressure begins.
Participants are divided into teams and charged with preparing the evenings’ dessert. Backed by audio visuals and props, the groups strive to prepare the best dish before being judged by a panel involving two of Hyatt Regency Coolum’s professional chefs.
Available for groups from 50 to 100 people, Hyatt Chef is priced from $140 per person.
With its world-class facilities and inspirational setting, Hyatt Regency Coolum is the Sunshine Coast’s premier destination for meetings and events.
