Corporate travel agents, special interest tour operators, incentive and conference organisers and others who manage offshore events and groups can be ‘inspired at breakfast time’ before PAICE 2014 in Auckland on November 19.
Tourism Australia is inviting guests to a breakfast with Nigel Collin who in April 2013 (armed with a video camera) set off on a series of solo motorcycle trips across Australia to meet and interview ingenious Australians.
Collin says that what he discovered was ‘the soul of Australia, its people and its experiences’.
The breakfast session will follow Nigel’s journey and look at the stories of people at the heart of the country.
Collin’s own background is in the meetings and events industry, where he owned and built one of the first entertainment design companies in Australia. He is founder of Ingenious Oz Project, an initiative to inspire the ideas of the nation, as well as Game of Inches – a research consultancy focusing on small-scale everyday innovation. As ambassador of StartUp Australia, he has also interviewed many of Australia’s top entrepreneurs and business leaders.
The breakfast is being held on Wednesday 19 November at SKYCITY Convention Centre, with guest arrival from 7am for a 7.30am start. The breakfast will conclude just before 9am, when participants can head into PAICE (the Pacific Area Incentives and Conferences Expo) to catch up with about 100 exhibitors representing hotels, meeting venues, bureaux, cruise companies, activities and attractions and more.
Tourism Australia is the major sponsor of PAICE 2014 and Australian companies will have a high profile at the expo. They include Adelaide Convention Bureau, Business Events Tasmania, Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays, Business Events Cairns and Great Barrier Reef and many more.
