What happens when you get 10 experienced event professionals together for breakfast and sit each of them at a table with seven or eight people keen to pick their brains?
The answer – one hell of a buzz!
And that is exactly what happened at Dockside, Cockle Bay on Tuesday morning as ISES Sydney shared a bunch of industry all-stars with members and guests.
Facilitated by Nigel Collin (founder of Ingenious Oz) the breakfast line-up included some of the founding members of ISES in Australia (and most have served on the chapter management committee over the years).
David Grant – with a client list that includes Sydney’s A listers along with the Australian and International Olympic Committees David is one of Australia’s top event producers.
Lena Malouf – the driving force behind getting the event industry together to form the inaugural Australian chapter of ISES, Lena is also the author of many books on event design and management
Di Henry – from the Sydney Royal Easter Show to the 2000 Olympic Torch Relay, to London and back to Sydney again Di has been hands on with some very big events.
Tony Bonny – from managing bands to managing corporates – Tony know how “live” works.
Glen Lehman – another founder of ISES in Australia, Glen is one of our most experienced event producers.
Greg Hancock – another industry legend, Greg is the man in black and driving force behind Sydney Prop Specialists.
Pip Robinson – with extensive experience in the lighting industry Pip was on hand to discuss all aspects of lighting an event.
Anthony Vallario – event photographer and videographer Anthony discussed how to best document your event.
Jeremy Koch – AV is an integral element of most events these days. As one of the new breed of technical specialists, Jeremy balanced the industry elders with a younger view
Trevor Connell – and then there was me. The publisher of Australasian Special Events since it was founded in 2000, with over 30 years’ experience as a designer, technical director and event manager.
