NSW’s leading venue and catering collection, Doltone House, announce the appointment of James Kidman, as their Group Executive Chef.
Following their continued success and recognition as Sydney’s leading venue and hospitality group, Doltone House will further develop their culinary focus with Kidman leading and directing the kitchens.
Kidman has closely watched the growth of the Doltone House group over the last few years, and is looking to make a mark in its events food.
Kidman’s experience is broad. 8 years as Executive Chef at Otto Ristorante, Executive Chef at the National Gallery of Australia and the Sculpture Garden Restaurant with accolades that cover awards from Best Restaurant to recognitions by Gourmet Traveller and SMH hats.
He is now looking forward to his next challenge and being a part of Doltone House growth, with three more venues to open by 2015, following the recent announcement of Doltone House Hyde Park due to open early 2013.
“I am very much looking forward to directing the style of food across the group and being a part of Doltone Houses’ continued success into the future” said Kidman.
Kidman will work closely with the Owners, the Signorelli family, and return to his passion for authentic Italian cuisine with a modern edge. With Pyrmont’s Signorelli Gastronomia also a part of the venue portfolio, Kidman really has found the best of both worlds. “I have known James for a many years now and have always considered him a great talent”, said Paul Signorelli, Executive Chairman, Doltone House.
After taking home the 2012 Wedding Caterer of the Year Award at NSW’s Restaurant & Catering Awards in September, and two National Meetings and Events Australia industry awards in April 2012, Doltone House has definitely marked the achievement of their growth and expansion plans to grow the venue portfolio with the addition of this great talent.
Doltone House is renowned for providing multi award-winning, iconic venues for conferences and events. The Doltone property portfolio, which includes the iconic flagship properties; Sylvania Waters, Jones Bay Wharf, Darling Island Wharf and now Hyde Park – has seen Doltone House establish a reputation as one of Australia’s premier industry players.
