Delegates have only days left to register for the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) 2011 Conference and Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner, featuring stimulating thought leaders by day and Australia’s leading lady of comedy, Julia Morris, by night.
To be held on 6 December in Sydney, the 2011 Conference and Awards wraps up the exhibition and event annual industry calendar.
In addition to the powerful speaker and sponsor line-up, the 2011 Conference will feature new approaches to help attendees get more out of the event.
The Conference will include interactive morning and afternoon tea breaks and a business lounge where meetings can be held and sponsors can introduce their products and services to delegates.
Joyce DiMascio, General Manager of EEAA, says the new direction taken at the 2011 Conference is aimed at providing members with more opportunities for interaction and business development.
“We have tried to design the conference spaces with more interaction and networking in mind. Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre has been very accommodating and flexible – embracing our ideas and finding ways to make the floor plan work effectively,” Ms DiMascio said.
Two areas have been created, one for more formal meetings and another that is more relaxed.
“The aim is to facilitate doing business and to give our partners extra value and opportunity to showcase what they can offer delegates – it’s show and tell in a conducive, attractive environment,” Ms DiMascio said.
The new major sponsor for 2011 is FABframe which specialising in frame designs for exhibition, events and retail. They join venue partner, the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre as major contributors to the 2011 event.
“FABframe is proud to be a sponsor for the EEAA Conference and Awards night. It is great to be able to contribute to a forum that encourages sharing of new ideas and innovation within our industry,” FABframe Director, Rod Peter said.
Major partners of the Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner include leading industry supplier, OCTANORM, the Awards evening’s beautiful harbour side venue, Crystal Palace Luna Park, multi-award winning decorators, Decorative Events and Exhibitions, and specialists in corporate event delivery, Microhire.
Several sponsors have supported both the Conference and Awards including FABframe, Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Bright Red Oranges, Corporate Video Australia, Exponet, Info Salons and ZOOM.
Other supporting sponsors of the Conference include Australian Technology Park, Circulations Audit Board, ID Branding, Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau and The Star, and supporting sponsors of the Awards extend to Beaspoke, Diversified Exhibitions, Expo Direct, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Reed Exhibitions and Sydney Showground.
The 2011 Conference is held at Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, followed immediately by the Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner held at Crystal Palace, Luna Park Sydney. An independent panel judges the EEAA Awards for Excellence, with four adjudicators reviewing all finalist entries in each category.
