Luna Park Venues proudly boasted its ability to host all-inclusive large scale events, hosting not one, but two major Awards presentations over two consecutive nights.
Thursday, November 24 marked the 2016 NSW Tourism Awards, for which Luna Park not only received an award in the Best Business Events Venue category, but hosted to great acclaim across two of its venues. The award ceremony itself took place within the Big Top, along with specially curated food and beverages served throughout.
Guests were treated to everything that Luna Park has to offer, beginning with a welcome drink on the red carpet, with the stunning Sydney Harbour and Bridge in the background. With a heavy focus on NSW produce, canapés included seared local sesame tune with honey, miso and cucumber salsa, grilled NSW tiger prawns, cold smoked ocean trout salad, pan fried Galston Game Farm quail breast and home marinated bresaola with Mittagong oyster mushrooms. Meanwhile, food stations offered everything from Sydney rock oysters to Aussie beef pies and locally sourced meat and vegetarian skewers.
Following the awards, guests unwound at an after-party held in Luna Park’s famous Crystal Palace. Guests enjoyed a view drinks overlooking the breathtaking views, and were dazzled by entertainment including live music and a dazzling acrobatics display.
Praising the night, Dean Goddard, Executive Manager of the NSW Business Chamber commented, “The 2016 Tourism Awards ran seamlessly among the great atmosphere of Luna Park. The Big Top was the perfect venue for the presentation, and the Crystal Palace after-party was thoroughly enjoyed by all.”
The very next day, the Big Top transformed to host the 2016 NSW Business Chamber Business Awards, with more than 900 guests enjoying a sit-down dinner and award ceremony. Speakers at the high-profile event included the Hon. Mike Baird MP, while The Veronicas provided live entertainment, fresh from hosting the 2016 ARIA Awards two nights earlier. The three-course menu included Northern Rivers beef carpaccio, confit of ocean trout with heirloom tomatoes and garlic prawns, a selection of mini desserts and an extensive beverage package.
