Winners announced at the 2007 EEAA Awards for Excellence

Sydney 4 December 2007:

Nina Vidale of Reed Exhibitions Australia was the proud winner of the Richard Geddes Young Achiever Award at the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia’s (EEAA) annual gala dinner last night.

Held at Sydney ’s Doltone House, 27 year old Vidale accepted the prestigious award in front of colleagues, peers and industry veterans. Described by her superiors as the ‘engine room of the Industrial Division’ at Reed Exhibitions Australia, Vidale has worked on some of the country’s biggest exhibitions including AIMEX, PrintEx 07 and National Manufacturing Week 2007.

dmg world media was also a big winner taking away five coveted trophies. Their New Zealand exhibition, Hospitality NZ took away the honours in two categories – Best Visitor Promotion Campaign for a Trade Show; and Best Trade Show less than 10,000 square metres.

The industry leading company was also the winner in Best Visitor Promotion Campaign for a Consumer Event with the Adelaide Home & Garden Show; Best Launch Event with ad:tech Sydney 2007; and Best Consumer Event more than 10,000 square metres with the HIA Melbourne Home Show.

Other winners include Reed Exhibitions Australia for AIMEX; Swish Events for Futuristic Olympics; Display Builders Australasia for the International Beauty Expo; and Domenic Genua who won Trevor Riddell’s President Award.

Rewarding excellence across all sectors of the Australian and New Zealand exhibition and event industry, winners received a beautiful glass trophy and exclusive logo to use in marketing and collateral for the next three years.

Amidst the stunning harbourside setting, guests celebrated the prestigious wins, networked with peers and enjoyed a laugh, care of Dancing with the Stars runner-up and comedian Anh Do. Toby Travanner, corporate trainer and Director, The Learning Company, was also a hit as emcee.

The EEAA Awards for Excellence were proudly sponsored by Rosehill Gardens Event Centre; Octanorm; Microhire; and Decorative Events.
