Sydney’s Summit Restaurant was bathed in a pink glow the night they joined forces with Meetings & Events Australia to host a networking event to raise vital funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
Over 150 NSW MEA members converged to the very PINK Summit Restaurant to show their support to this outstanding cause.
The cocktail party commenced with only pink in sight with Trilogy pink bubbly and watermelon martinis. Raffle assistants donned pink hats and a 2.2 metre pink designer moneybox was located in the centre court for donations.
Amazing canapés by Chef Michael Moore included Longnose Point oysters with tomato tea, Kingfish cerviche with cucumber and dashi jelly, Peking duck rolls, Pumpkin arancinni with harissa yoghurt and crab and cheddar cheese spring rolls with royal dipping sauce.
As part of the commitment to NBCF, Meeting & Events Australia hosted an auction for the evening and guests had the opportunity to bid for items including an 58cm NEC LCD television, two nights on Hamilton Island flying Virgin Blue and the “Ultimate Indulgence” designed by Lindeman’s with accommodation at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley; a cruise on Sydney Harbour from Eastsail, a day at the races thanks to AJC Convention Centre, a limited edition Samsung MP3 Player and a high tea at the Sofitel Wentworth.
Over $8,000.00 was raised to help fund vital breast cancer research programs into the prevention, detection and treatment of the disease.
