World Youth Day 2008 program detailed

Times and details of the major events at World Youth Day Sydney 2008 (WYD08) in July have been confirmed today.

WYD08 organisers also unveiled the name that will be used to identify the joint venues hosting the Evening Vigil and Final Mass with Pope Benedict XVI.

Royal Randwick Racecourse and nearby Centennial Park will be united in name as the Southern Cross Precinct during World Youth Day.

Sydney will host the 23rd World Youth Day from 15 – 20 July this year. It will be the largest event Australia has hosted and will mark the first visit by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to Australia.
