Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics set to Evolve in Montreal


Montreal , Canada , July 9th.

Three years in the making, Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics are poised to unleash their latest, most creative and technically complex pyromusical during the 2008 edition of L’International Des-Deux Loto-Quebec in Montreal , Canada .

Simply titled ‘Evolve’, Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics have assembled a savvy blend of inspiring and evocative musical remixes combined with unique pyrotechnic artistry to create a seamless flow of pyrotechnic scenes, movement and colour for the fireworks display scheduled for 19 July 2008. Throw in a couple of quirky renditions of Australian cultural classics and we have a show that will appeal to the international audience yet is uniquely ‘Down Under’.

This year’s entry by Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics Displays is set to be one of the most technically complex ever undertaken due to the style of music, synchronisation and the large amount of firing positions.

Fired from 180 individual firing positions, including 30 nautical pontoons, ‘Evolve’ takes music from a vast array of genres and generations and melds them into one soundscape taking the audience on a journey of classical music, electronic, pop and rock and roll. From high energy beats to the graceful serenity of orchestral movements, ‘Evolve’ is designed to leave no emotional sense untouched and leave the audience breathless!

L'International des Feux Loto-Québec is one of the most exclusive fireworks competitions in the world. The invitation only event features only one fireworks company for each country, the coveted invitation means exposure to hundreds of thousands of spectators from the greater Montréal area, numerous tourists and the worldwide pyrotechnic industry.

The Australian Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics crew headed by director, Christian Howard, display designer & programmer, Stuart Bensley and pyrotechnicians, Rusty Johnson, Darren Roberts and Ashley Poole will work on the magnificent Montreal display site for five days to install the massive 30 minute pyrotechnic display.
