Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre’s (MCEC) award-winning website (www.mcec.com.au) continues to reap the rewards, picking up two more awards for ‘Distinction’ at the 9th AGDA National Biennial Awards 2008.

In September, www.mcec.com.au was named as the winner of the Web Marketing Association’s 2008 WebAward in the category of International Business Standard of Excellence.

Designed by interactive agency Reactive, both AGDA (Australian Graphic Design Association) awards were presented in the ‘Digital Media’ category for the design of the overall website and the Interactive Centre Guide.

Reactive’s creative director Tim Kotsiakos said, ‘Winning two Distinction awards for the one website is extremely rare. This recognition represents a great achievement for the entire team who worked on the project and who are all genuinely passionate about creating a high quality experience for visitors to the MCEC website.’

MCEC chief executive Leigh Harry, who is also President of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), passed on his congratulations to the Reactive team.

‘Once again our congratulations go to Reactive.

‘These awards acknowledge an outstanding graphic design team who continue to come up with inspirational creative ideas and design features to keep extending the MCEC website.’
