Brisbane bureau hits the road

With Brisbane climbing the International Congress and Convention Association city rankings from 56th position to 48th, and the city securing a number of high profile conferences over the past months there’s an undeniable buzz around the city.

There’s never been a better time to discover the benefits of doing business in Brisbane and meeting planners and professional conference organisers across the nation will have the chance to find out more this week as the Brisbane Convention Bureau hits the road with its 2008 Create your own story roadshow.

The roadshow – taking in Sydney , Canberra and Melbourne – will offer event organisers an intimate showcase experience of some of Brisbane ’s best business events product.

Brisbane Marketing Director Business Events, Ms Annabel Sullivan, said the roadshow was a great opportunity for event organisers and meeting planners to meet with some of Brisbane ’s best business events operators in a relaxed and entertaining environment.

“We had a fabulous response to last year’s roadshow and overwhelmingly positive feedback from all of the attendees,” said Ms Sullivan.

Brisbane is a business events destination that’s on the rise.  It’s a story that we think is well worth listening to.”
