The Business Events Council of Australia and Mice.net magazine are pleased to announce the inaugural Miles Clarke Business Events Communication Award. This is a new award named in honour of the late Miles Clarke, well known writer and media contributor. A perpetual trophy will be presented at the MEA National Conference, starting in
Adelaide
, April 2009.
Scope
The aim is to stimulate discussion, to raise the profile, to reward and encourage communication about business events
Criteria
- 1000 words maximum
- May include illustrations, graphs/tables and photographs
- Must be original work, not previously published
- Must relate to business events and could be an opinion piece, examination of a current issue, some new research or a case study demonstrating the impact of a business event.
The Winning Entry
The winner will enjoy wide exposure as the winning entry will be published on the websites of BECA and its member organisations including Meetings Events Australia, Exhibition and Events Association of Australia and the Association of Australian Convention Bureaux. It will also be published in print form in Mice.net magazine.
Judges
The inaugural Miles Clarke Business Events Communication Award will be judged by Elizabeth Rich, CEO of BECA; Brad Foster, Managing Editor Mice.net magazine and Ian Stuart AFMEA on behalf of MEA.
Entries are encouraged from everyone in the business events industry and should be submitted electronically by 27 February 2009 to Elizabeth Rich .
