The Meeting and Events Industry night of nights took place on Thursday, 26th February, 2009 at Doltone House, Pyrmont.

The award winning venue played host to the annual NSW Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) Awards night attended by the industry's a-list professionals. "This was poised to be MEA's most glamorous NSW event to date with the theme diamonds and pearls setting the tone of the black tie gala event" said Carmela Signorelli, Marketing Director of the Doltone House Group. "We were both thrilled and honored to have been chosen to host this event".

The event recognizes the achievements and efforts of the industries finest including categories for catering, meeting venues, technical and creative along with other aspects of the events industry. Doltone House was again named NSW Best Meeting Venue 150 - 500 delegates qualifying as National finalists to be announced at the April awards night in Adelaide as part of the MEA National conference.

"Winning this award for two consecutive years has been instrumental for us both internally and externally and also attributed to our growth as a group" said Anna Cesarano, Director of Doltone House Group in her acceptance speech, "I can confidently say that our team ooze passion for who they represent and continually strive for excellence", she further commented.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Award was acknowledgement to those industry players who valued and ranked highly in the consideration of their major stakeholders, and Doltone House yet again won their category for this award. A great night all round on home ground for them.

Decorative Events along with Staging Connections and Doltone House as major sponsors ensured the elegant theme became a reality. The venue ensured that every detail of the menu had been carefully considered for one of its most discerning industry crowds, prepared by Doltone House catering team.

The night's entertainment captivated the audience with six talented aerial performers suspended from the venues lofted ceilings courtesy of event sponsor Aerliaise in addition to The Next Step dance troupe with their high energy and completely entertaining performance opening the Awards in spectacular fashion.
