’s leading education institution for the events industry, The Australian Centre for Event Management (ACEM), today announced its official partnership with the Australian Event Awards, supporting the role of a national, all-inclusive event awards program in
Australia
.
Established at the
University
of
Technology Sydney
in 1999, ACEM is the most reputable events educator in the country, created and developed by highly experienced event professionals working closely with experts all over the world.
“A national, all-inclusive awards program is long overdue for the Australian events industry, and will provide a number of benefits for everybody involved not just the winners,” said Rob Harris, Director of The Australian Centre for Event Management.
“From the students of event management to the pioneers of this industry, there is a definite need to spell out the achievements of our sector and provide formal recognition to the standard of excellence being set by events all over the country.”
“The Australian Event Awards not only provides a sense of unity and clear identity to the events industry, but it also presents unique opportunities for different sectors to work together and learn from each other in new and exciting ways.”
With entries now open, the Australian Event Awards is the only opportunity for event managers and service providers to be nationally recognised for their achievements on a level playing field, regardless of event type, budget or association membership.
“Whilst this partnership does mean that ACEM won’t be eligible to enter the Australian Event Awards, it does allow us to publicly support this important initiative that we believe will have far reaching benefits for the whole Australian events industry,” said Rob Harris.
“For over 10 years the Australian Centre for Event Management has shown a strong commitment to defining and extending best practice in the Australian Events industry. ACEM offers exceptional opportunities for the entire industry, from newcomers to seasoned events professionals looking for innovative ways to develop their skills. They are a truly national organisation with the interests of the industry at heart,” said Jeremy Miller, Executive Producer of the Australian Event Awards.
“We are very proud to have ACEM on board as a valued partner for the Australian Event Awards, with synergies to benefit the whole industry. Both organisations are centred around innovation, excellence and creativity, offering real and meaningful qualifications and accolades for those who take part.”
“This partnership is very valuable to us and will enable us to extend the Australian Event Awards program with some exciting initiatives to be announced soon.”
