The Sydney Chapter of the International Special Events Society have launched a new marketing campaign: The Gold Standard
The Gold Standard campaign aims to raise awareness of the professionalism and skill of ISES members within the whole event chain from supplier through to end client.
The Gold Standard campaign emphasises the creativity, international links and importance of making connections throughout the industry. The new initiative may be used only by ISES Sydney members on their collateral and websites.
Jeremy Garling, President ISES Sydney believes the new campaign will differentiate ISES members in the market place.
‘This campaign is all about helping our clients and peers identify event practitioners who deliver well-conceived, well-founded and impeccably executed multi-faceted events and who practice their profession at the highest level of integrity. It sets ISES members apart from their competitors.’ said Garling.
The new campaign was launched at the chapter’s August networking event the first organised by new board, who revealed a reinvigorated direction and vision for the Sydney Chapter.
“The fresh and vibrant approach from the new ISES board was evident in the panel of presentations given at the MCA last night. This was also reflected in a healthy turnout of ISES members and guests. A great event,’ said Zoe Shennen, A List Guide.
The Standard focuses of three main principals:
Creative: ISES people represent the highest echelon of creativity in events. Event specialists, they continually challenge the boundaries of what is possible in event concepts, quality, experience and communicating messages to our audiences.
International: We are the conduit to the international group the largest association of event professionals in the world. We draw on the experience of our globally diverse colleagues and keep abreast of the latest trends, technologies and developments.
Connecting: To be connected is to be ‘in the know, to be ahead of trends and to lead your industry’. We connect with each other, our clients and the latest ideas to continually deliver innovative and well executed solutions.
The ISES Gold Standard is a symbol that informs clients and peers that they are working with someone who is committed to providing the highest quality of service and ethics.
These ethics include:
- Promote and encourage the highest level of ethics of professional conduct.
- Use only legal and ethical means in all industry negotiations and activities.
- Protect the public against fraud and unfair practices, and promote all practices which bring respect and credit to the profession.
- Provide truthful and accurate information with respect to the performance of duties. Use a written contract clearly stating all charges, services, products, performance expectations and other essential information.
- Maintain industry-accepted standards of occupational health and safety.
- Maintain adequate and appropriate insurance coverage for all business activities.
- Strive to cooperate with colleagues, suppliers, employees, employers and all relevant persons, in order to provide the highest quality service at every level.
