The appointment of Ms Sandra Chipchase, CEO of the Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau (MCVB), to the new Brand Australia Advisory Board has been welcomed by MCVB’s Chair, Mr Chris Barlow.
Mr Barlow said that Ms Chipchase’s appointment to the Board provides a significant opportunity to utilise Business Events (e.g. conventions, exhibitions, corporate meetings and incentive travel programs) to influence the international business community’s perceptions of Australia.
“Sandra’s appointment to the Board illustrates the Federal Government’s recognition of the role that Business Events plays in contributing to
Australia
’s international reputation as a place to further business, ideas and research through conferences and events.
“On behalf of the MCVB Board, I congratulate Sandra on this significant appointment,” Mr Barlow said.
Ms Chipchase said she was honoured to be part of the Advisory Board.
