Yesterday at the annual Crown Oaks Day, held at the Victoria Racing Club’s Flemington Racecourse, the second race of the day, the Crown Promenade Stakes was won by punters’ favourite, Very Discreet.

along with Crown’s General Manager Public Relations,
Ann Peacock
, presented the Crown Promenade Stakes plate to winning jockey Dwayne Dunn and trainer Richard Jolly.
The Handicap 1100m sprint was the second race of the day and was followed later in the afternoon with the 2500m Crown Oaks which was won by short odds horse, Faint Perfume, trained by the legendary Bart Cummings. The record-breaking trainer celebrated his win at Crown’s renowned Silks Chinese restaurant.
In December 2009, Crown will open an extension to the Crown Conference Centre,
Australia
’s only purpose-built hotel convention facility. The Crown Conference Centre currently caters for large residential conferences, meetings, product launches and exhibitions. The spectacular extension will enable the centre to cater for conferences up to 840 delegates with 20 concurrent rooms, all on one site. The Crown Conference Centre’s extension will complement the existing centre and will seamlessly join Crown Promenade Hotel and Crown Entertainment Complex.
