AOG named as Australia ’s best show at EEAA Awards for Excellence

The Australasian Oil & Gas (AOG) and Good Food & Wine Melbourne exhibitions were the big winners at the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia’s (EEAA) annual awards, with AOG taking away two coveted titles – Best Trade Show Over 10,000m2 and Best Australian Show.  Melbourne ’s leading culinary event won Best Consumer Show Over 10,000m2.

The EEAA 2009 Awards for Excellence were presented last night at an industry gala event, held in the Ivy Room , Sydney . Diversified Exhibitions Australia won five categories in total. North Port Events were the next high achievers, taking away two trophies for The Food Show Auckland; and Exhibitions & Trade Fairs proudly accepted the award for Best Trade Show Under 10,000m2 for the Australian Business Events Expo.

“Winning an EEAA Award for Excellence is a mark of distinction and outstanding achievement in Australasia ’s event market,” said Margaret Crichton, General Manager, EEAA.

“Judges this year were utterly impressed with the quality of nominations and the creativity and innovation that’s going on in the industry so we’d like to congratulate all entrants, finalists and especially winners on their efforts this year.”

Best Consumer Show Under 10,000m2 – The Food Show Auckland , North Port Events

Best Consumer Show Over 10,000m2 – Good Food & Wine Melbourne , Diversified Exhibitions Australia

Best Trade Show Under 10,000m2 – Australian Business Events Expo, Exhibitions and Trade Fairs

Best Trade Show Over 10,000m2 – Australasian Oil & Gas, Diversified Exhibitions Australia

Best Australian Show – Australasian Oil & Gas, Diversified Exhibitions Australia

Best New Zealand Show – The Food Show Auckland , North Port Events

Best Custom Stand – George Weston Foods: IGAD, Van Den Berg Design

Most Innovative Promotional Campaign – Franchising Expo, Diversified Exhibitions Australia

Best Green Initiative – Ecowise, Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre

Best New Product or Service – ExhibitOffice, Project Database Company

Best Venue Team – Darwin Convention Centre

Best Show Team – Industrial Team, Reed Exhibitions

Best Supplier Team – Melbourne Account Management Team, Moreton Hire
