OK, so it rained! Didn’t matter to the Sydney MEA members who took the opportunity to kick the year off in style and there was plenty of cover around the pool to get away from the brief rain.  In fact many guests found it hard to venture out from the booths from where they could observe the passing parade, especially when the networking function ended and the regulars started drifting in. 

And your correspondent hears that some didn’t get away until very late in the night.
