Creativity is just one Master Class away – Creative Director and Producer for Event for City of Sydney, Gillian Minervini, is presenting The Creative Edge at the University of Technology Sydney on 18 November.
With years of hands-on experience in large-scale festivals, the first Festival Director of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, shares her expertise on how to deliver the unforgettable experience, instead of just another gig.
Presented by the internationally renowned Australian Centre for Event Management (ACEM), based at the University of Technology in Sydney (UTS), the Master Class focuses on the creative side of events, developing a creative vision and building a team that will deliver the event with an edge.
Targeted at Event Managers and Coordinators, Local and State Government employees and Event consultants, Minervini aims to inspire the creativity that will create events with an edge, giving audiences a reason to keep coming back.
Minervini has creatively directed and implemented many of Sydney’s major event attractions, including Chinese New Year, Art & About and Christmas Celebrations. With a passion for the significant role events play in bringing people together and creating a greater understanding between communities, Minervini will present real life case studies to show how creativity has enhanced so many of her events.
The workshop will cover topics including creative development, creative planning and delivery, team development, creative event management, budgeting, the role of marketing and design, delivering a message, maximizing public appeal and keeping recurrent events fresh.
Places are limited, and enrolments are filling fast – there are just over two weeks to secure a place on the course.
