Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) was recognised for its service and innovation last night, taking home four awards at the prestigious Victorian Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) Awards, held at the ANZ Pavilion, Arts Centre Melbourne.
MCEC was awarded ‘Meeting Venue 500 delegates or more’, ‘Banquet and Catering’, ‘In-house AV Services’ (for the third year in a row) and ‘Business Development Person of the Year’ – Prue Rogers, Assistant Director of Sales.
The venues performance was assessed across a wide range of criteria, including business and financial planning, marketing activities, sustainability and innovation.
MCEC’s Chief Executive Peter King said the four accolades were a reflection of MCEC’s contribution to the business events industry and their commitment to offering the best customer experience.
“These awards are a great recognition for our team who are the driving force behind the quality of events we creatively deliver to our customers.
“We are a world class venue and dedicated to finding new ways of working with our customers and the broader community,” King said.
As winners MCEC will now represent Victoria in all four categories at the 2012 MEA National Awards in Darwin on 7 May 2013.
