Event Planners Australia which became part of global association, communication and event management company MCI in 2010 was recognised as Australia’s top meeting and event management company (more than 8 employees) at Meeting and Events Australia’ s national awards for Excellence.
Managing Director Ray Shaw said that it was a significant and appropriate award as it marked the transition from the multi-award winning Event Planners era and the introduction of the global MCI brand in Australia.
The award period was from July 2009 to June 2010 which also encompassed the peak of the global financial crisis. MCI Australia was recognised as having successfully managed events during this difficult time by its proactive management of client budgets and through highly effective marketing and sponsorship sales strategies they helped their clients achieve an amazing 25% increase in delegate numbers and a 65% increase in sponsorship over revised targets.
The award also assesses a range of criteria covering management effectiveness, innovative service delivery, response to challenges, client satisfaction and excellence in areas such as HR, CSR, OH&S, finance and training.
