Melbourne has been announced as the destination of Meetings and Events Australia’s 2016 National Conference.
The announcement was made this afternoon at the closing plenary of MEA’s 2015 Conference on Hamilton Island to an excited crowd. The event will happen on the 17-19th of April.
MEA last held a national conference in Victoria in 2010 and it will be the first conference at a major metropolitan Australian city in four years.
Director of Sales and Marketing at Melbourne Convention Centre and MEA Vice Chair, Anne Jamieson, made the announcement through a beautiful video highlighting everything Melbourne has to offer. With its widespread coffee culture and vibrant creative scene Melbourne should be an excellent location for inspiring business events professionals.
2016 will also see the conference moved back to April, whereas it has been held in May the last three years.
Ultra Early-bird tickets will be available from June 8th at the special price of $995 to the first 50 to register.
As always, MEA2016 will be an innovative event and the bustling effervescent location is likely to drawn a large crowd.
