Meg Bailey, the former General Manager and Executive Producer at DGSE, one of Australia’s leading event production companies, has joined the Australian Centre for Event Management’s (ACEM) teaching team at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).
Meg, a winner of the Meetings and Events Australia’s (MEA) National Operations Person of the Year, brings over 19 years of experience in event management and production to her new role. Meg has produced events for some of Australia’s most prominent companies, including Unilever, Stockland, Ogilvy, Pulse Communications, Macquarie Capital and Network Ten, and has worked on a number of corporate events linked to the Super Bowl and the Olympics.
Over the next 12 months, Meg will progressively replace Johnny Allen, a recipient of an Australian Event Award and an Order of Australia for his contribution to the event industry in Australia, most particularly in the area of training and education.
Meg is excited about the prospect of sharing her experience with participants in ACEM’s programs noting: “I have been a great admirer of ACEM’s efforts over many years to further professionalise the Australian event industry, and of the importance it places on ensuring its courses are industry relevant and aligned with current practice. I am very much looking forward to continuing this tradition by contributing my own local and international experience in both event operations and management to its many programs in Australia and overseas”.
ACEM will be offering its award winning 4 day Executive Certificate in Event Management program and one day workshops during 2014 in Melbourne (13 – 16 May), Sydney (23 – 26 September), Brisbane (17 – 20 June) and Perth (22 -25 July), as well as Singapore (24 -27 June & 25 -28 Nov) and London (1 – 4 July).
