Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley has won yet another industry award this year for Meeting and Events at the Australian Hotel Association (AHA) National Awards for Excellence, which was announced at a Gala Dinner at Jupiter’s Casino on Monday night.
The ‘Best Meetings and Events Venue’ award was the fourth business event award win this year, after winning both the state and national award for Best Meeting Venue (under 500 delegates) at the Meeting Events Australia (MEA) Awards and the Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA) Award for Conference Hotel of the Year (Regional).
Robert Coates, General Manager, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley said he was thrilled to receive another award as it reiterated the Resort’s excellence in providing outstanding business event solutions and as being industry leaders in catering for business events in Australia.
Mr Coates believes that the Resort’s ongoing commitment to innovation has helped to cement the 2015 award wins. “Our recently released Signature Event; HARVEST HUNTER brings an exclusive gourmet food and wine fair to delegates in the Resort grounds and is just one example of how we deliver unique and unforgettable corporate events”.
Meeting and event related business at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley has grown 20% this year and Mr Coates envisages that this growth will continue to grow as more and more clients looks for unique business event ideas and concepts to help inspire, reward and motivate delegates.
Lisa Rangitutia, Director of Sales and Marketing, thanked the Resort’s owners, The Schwartz Family Company (SFC), for their ongoing investment and support, to ensure the long term sustainability of the Crowne Plaza’s conference & events business.
Recently SFC invested more than $6m to build the new Hunter Valley Conference and Events Centre as well as extensive upgrades to its leisure and spa facilities. “Having the additional scale of the 1500 guest Conference Centre has opened up new markets for the Resort and Hunter Valley community as a whole. We’re particularly excited to bring large Association and international Incentives of scale to the Hunter which will see all of region’s stakeholders benefit” said Miss Rangitutia.
Miss Rangitutia went on to say that “Winning four business event awards this year is a reflection of our dedicated team of meeting and events experts, and their passion to create customised events for our clients and for a range of conference and event needs”.
