To celebrate a great year for the Microhire Queensland team and to further promote the partnership with the Royal International Convention Centre, Brisbane – the company invited 50 clients and guests to a memorable night at the Ekka on Friday night 16th August.
Brisbane’s Royal Queensland Show is affectionately referred to by Queenslanders as The Ekka and is the largest and oldest Royal Agricultural Show. The Ekka is held over 10 days at the Brisbane Showgrounds which is uniquely positioned just 1.6km from the city centre.
The Microhire event was held in the new VIP Corporate Suites that overlook the main arena – guests were able to watch the Ekka’s new night time 360 degree entertainment line-up in air-conditioned comfort. The suite was dressed in a cocktail bar and lounge format with mood lighting that created a great atmosphere for guests to network and watch the entertainment including the Rooftop Express Horsemanship Show, singer Ricky-Lee and the Ekka IgNites 360 Fire and Water Spectacular Fireworks and Laser Show.
Microhire Qld General Manager, Russell Bennett, welcomed guests and thanked them for a terrific year before welcoming Microhire Managing Director – Shayne Liddell to say a few words before the night-time show commenced.
The evening was a great success with many clients not having been to the Ekka for a number of years and all commenting on the new show line-up and how they enjoyed the environment Microhire was able to capture.
