MGallery, Accor’s Collection of distinctive boutique hotels has added one of Adelaide’s most treasured country house hotels, Mount Lofty House to its bourgeoning collection, heralding an exciting time for the brand in Australia.
Originally built in the mid 1800s as a cool summer residence by Adelaide politician and lawyer Arthur Hardy and re-built in the 1980s after the Ash Wednesday fires, the hotel is set to lure guests to the Adelaide Hills with a specially crafted Memorable Moment package as it joins the MGallery Collection.
Mount Lofty House, one of Australia’s iconic country manor houses and a much loved hideaway in South Australia’s Adelaide Hills wine region, has joined Accor’s exclusive Mgallery Collection of hotels and becomes the seventh Australian hotel to join the portfolio.

Mount Lofty House’s Memorable Moment package includes a helicopter flight over the magnificent Adelaide Hills to experience the history of the region before an unforgettable vintage car tour to some of the Hills iconic wineries with private vat tastings with the winemaker. Return to Mount Lofty House and retreat to a private lounge for an elegant and intimate degustation dinner showcasing wines from the tour and exceptional produce from the Hills. Package includes accommodation in a Deluxe King View Suite, mini bar and breakfast.
The Memorable Moment package is priced from $1949 per couple.
In becoming part of the MGallery Collection, other added features include the Piccadilly Breakfast Classic Tasting Plate, signature restaurant dish of Dawny Oak Smoked Duck, as well as a complimentary welcome drink – a Great Gatsby of rosewater infused with petals from the hotel’s garden.
Mount Lofty House boasts 33 rooms and suites with eight rooms in the original heritage wing and 25 rooms in the Piccadilly wing which have all been loving and sensitively restored. Additionally, the adjacent self-contained and individually designed Piccadilly Cottage accommodates up to five guests and the Coachman’s Cottage sleeps up to six guests.
