The Perth Convention Bureau has announced the promotion of Kara Coote to the position of Business Development Manager – Corporate, focusing on the corporate and incentive meeting sector.
Ms Coote, who has been with the Bureau for six years, started as a research assistant and has held the role of Business Development Manager in the association sector for the past three years.
Ms Coote also has a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in tourism and public relations from Curtin University.
Announcing the appointment, Bureau Managing Director Christine McLean said that she was delighted to retain the talents of Ms Coote at the Bureau and looked forward to supporting her as she takes on this new challenge.
“We’re delighted that Kara has accepted the role. She has done a great job in developing and expanding our relationships with Western Australia’s association sector and has a successful record of bidding for national and international conventions. We believe that these skills will see her excel in securing events from the corporate and incentive travel sector.”
