The PCO (Professional Conference Organisers) Association will support Convene Queensland (Convene Q) 2014 and encourage members to attend the expo.
PCO spokesperson Peter Sugg says the association will publicise Convene Q in its regular newsletters. ‘Something like this, which stimulates activity around conferences, meetings and events is always welcomed by the sector.’
ProMag Publishing director Stu Freeman says the company has always had a close relationship with the PCO Association and with many of its members on a personal basis. ‘Having a communication channel through the PCO Association is obviously a major factor for any exhibition targeting the business event community,’ says Freeman.
Being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on July 29 2014, Convene Q will promote venues, regional bureaux, attractions, activities, and other function and business event suppliers Queensland wide.
Buyers will include incentive operators, corporate travel agents, association executives and professional conference organisers from New South Wales, Victoria and other parts of Australia, as well as from New Zealand.
Local Brisbane buyers will include personal assistants, executive secretaries and other corporate meeting and travel bookers, conference and exhibition organisers, function and wedding planners.
ProMag Publishing is launching Convene Q as the third event in its Convene ‘family’, joining Convene in Auckland and Convene South in Christchurch. ProMag also organises the Pacific Area Incentives and Conferences Expo (PAICE).
Convene Queensland will be held at at BCEC on 29th July 2014
