At 137 years young, Peppers Manor House has continually maintained a level of sophisticated elegance – but even the grandest of dames needs a little help along the way. Officially relaunched on Wednesday 16 March by Mayor Larry Whipper, this beautiful Southern Highlands hotel has been completely reimagined with a $4.5+ million upgrade.
Attendees at the launch enjoyed local food and wine from the new Moss Vale Food and Wine Cluster, tours throughout the property, and live local music in front of the roaring open fire on the terrace.
Bringing a contemporary touch to this heritage hotel, a recently completed extensive refurbishment has seamlessly modernised the sophisticated elegance that Peppers Manor House is renowned for. The refurbishment was co-funded by a $500k Regional Visitor Economy Fund Grant from the NSW government.
“Our goal has been to create a place for all seasons; a refined country escape that embraces the natural surroundings,” says Peppers Manor House General Manager, Jesse Kornoff.
“The guest rooms have retained a 1920’s sensibility enhanced with 21st century comforts complemented by classic furniture choices.”
The refurbishment has included upgrades to all facilities including guest rooms, a new casual dining venue, reception area, lounge areas, roads and car parks.
In addition to the refurbishment of all 43 guest rooms, the upgrade includes the build of a brand new indoor/outdoor conference, wedding and event space to seat up to 300 guests.
Features include a large open stone fireplace, rustic wooden feature bar, fixed ceiling with heating, lighting and drop down walls, state-of-the-art sound system and modern audio visual equipment.
Peppers Manor House is a picturesque Southern Highlands country manor, located in Sutton Forest, 15 minutes from Bowral, a scenic 90 minute drive south of Sydney and less than two hours’ drive from the nation’s capital, Canberra.
