Peter Jones Special Events has been confirmed as the event management company for Dreamtime 2013, Tourism Australia’s signature event for demonstrating Australia’s capabilities as a business events destination.
Dreamtime 2013, which will be held over five days from 9 to 13 December, will see Australia host around 100 influential international business events decision buyers and media.
As one of Australia’s leading event management companies, Peter Jones Special Events will bring the event to life, helping to inspire corporate meeting and incentive decision makers to choose Australia for their next event.
Tourism Australia Managing Director Andrew McEvoy said Dreamtime provides a platform to highlight what Australia has to offer as a business event destination.
“Dreamtime is an opportunity to showcase why Australia is an ideal business events destination to international buyers from markets such as China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, New Zealand, North America and the United Kingdom,” Mr McEvoy said.
“With Melbourne as host city, Dreamtime 2013 provides the Australian industry with a chance to demonstrate the capacity for the city and the country to host both large scale and more intimate events and to provide experiences that cannot be replicated anywhere else.”
Based in Melbourne, Peter Jones Special Events brings a wealth of experience to the management of Dreamtime 2013, having organised significant business and incentives events including Amway China 2008, Corroboree Melbourne 2011. Most recently, Peter Jones organised an incredible finale event at the MCG for the 4,000 strong Amway India incentive group in 2012, with delegates treated to a cricket match on the ground, a motivational speech by Australian cricket legend Adam Gilchrist, and an awe-inspiring Bollywood performance.

Peter Jones Special Events has also been involved in major consumer tourism events, such as organising both the welcome public event at Federation Square and secret farewell dinner for Oprah Winfrey and her audience as part of Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure in 2010.
