Brisbane’s leading home show exhibitions, the Courier Mail Home Show and the Sunday Mail Home Show & Outdoor Living Expo, are returning to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) as their future base.
Melbourne based Exhibitions and Events Australia, owners of the shows which regularly attract in excess of 20,000 visitors, has secured dates at the Centre from this year right through to the year 2020.
Exhibitions and Events Australia Managing Director, Jane Ford, said she was excited to be moving the shows to the iconic Brisbane venue which she is confident will provide a catalyst for innovation and continued growth and development of the Home Shows.
“We are excited about the Courier Mail Home Show and Sunday Mail Home Show moving to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from September 2013. The move is based on exhibitors and visitors wanting a hall layout that ensures the Shows are located on one floor and in one hall. Additionally, the BCEC is easily accessible, fully indoors, and air-conditioned, thereby providing maximum visitor comfort. We are confident this venue move will ensure our Brisbane Home Shows continue to prosper and maintain their position as Queensland’s leading Home events.”
The first of the shows to take place at the AEG Ogden managed venue will be the Sunday Mail Home Show & Outdoor Living Expo, September 6 – 8 followed by the Courier Mail Home Show, February 27 to March 2.
BCEC General Manager, Bob O’Keeffe said the Centre was looking forward to the return of the successful and high profile signature events. “The Centre is located in a key transport hub in the heart of South Bank and close to the City and is an ideal venue for these events which traditionally attract large crowds to the Centre from throughout South East Queensland.
“The popularity of the home renovation market continues to endure and shows of this calibre provide a great opportunity for consumers to access advice and information from the professionals.”
