Grant Higgins
Higgins on working with GPJ: “Engaging and wowing live audiences is the DNA at GPJ – everyone here lives it, breathes it and loves it, so it’s great to be among my own kind. We’ll be shaking-up the live scene in the coming year and our audiences are in for the ride of their lives”.
After years of successfully freelancing to many agencies, Higgins became Creative Director of George P. Johnson, and subsequently Senior Creative Director of Jack Morton Worldwide. From 2008 – 2012 he was Insights Director and Experiential Creative Director for Imagination Asia-Pacific. The role saw him based in a number of cities including Sydney, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo and Bangkok as well as Paris and Barcelona.
On Higgins’ appointment Peter Rix, Managing Director, George P. Johnson Australia says: “We are delighted to welcome Grant back to the family. He remains one of the preeminent creative event directors on the planet”.
In the corporate communications sphere, Higgins is an innovator in experiential marketing, leading creative direction for scores of clients in Australia, Asia and the USA. They include, but are not limited to, Toyota, Microsoft, IBM, Pfizer, MBF, BlackBerry, Nestle, Hyundai, Alfa Romeo and Jaguar. Higgins was the Experiential Creative Director of the Commonwealth Bank Centenary events and more recently, for the City of Sydney New Year’s Eve 2011, also devising the themes for 2012 and 2013.
Beyond all that – Higgins has a different pair of glasses for every day of the month – and when no one is looking, he plays the ukulele and tap-dances.
