Event:

Canberra Convention Bureau - Top Secret dinner

Venue & catering:

Hotel Realm

The buzz:

Canberra Convention Bureau’s annual famil dinner has become a focal point for the local industry.  While the dinner revolves around the Top Secret delegates the Bureau invites to the dinner representatives from the ACT and federal governments along with embassy and related industry representatives. These are joined by meetings and events industry players who ensure an evening of networking that extends beyond just the famil delegates.

The Hotel Realm is the latest addition to Canberra ’s hotel offerings and was designed specifically with conferences in mind and is proving to be very popular.

Guests for this event gathered in the foyer which has a very large atrium above. A local choir gathered on the balcony level and the sounds of their voices filled the atrium to welcome the guests to the evening entertainment.

Over dinner a couple of short welcoming speeches from the CCB and the ACT government barely interrupted the networking across the tables.  Following dinner one wall of the room opened up to reveal a cocktail lounge complete with jazz band.  Those who wanted to, moved into the lounge while others continued to network in the dining room – just what it is all about really.
