The Buzz:

This year’s RSVP party kicked off with a short harbour cruise on The Bella Vista to transfer guests from Darling Harbour to Circular Quay and then a short walk to The Argyle.
On The Bella Vista Helen Batt-Rawden presented the inaugural e-awards. Although Nigel Colin mustered all the MC skills at his disposal he was defeated by a woefully inadequate sound system and the usual gabble associated with Gen X and Y (females in particular).
The nibbles were very tasty and the cocktails were so yummy that the guests devoured them all and left the bar dry well before the end of the cruise.
Fortunately The Argyle is a very spacious venue. The cobbled courtyard featured a large outdoor screen showing old B&W movies until they switched to showing the RL State of Origin match (mercifully without sound). However inside there was plenty of room for networking or just settling into the large lounge areas. Once again there was plenty of food and no chance of running out of booze.
Of great interest to many was the unisex toilets. The urinals were somewhat hazardous though, not because they are a feature in the space but because of the loose grid one has to stand on that tends to tip the unwary into the wall.
