St John Ambulance Victoria, the state’s leading provider of First Aid services, today announced it will be the official First Aid provider for the 2016 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix, from 17-20 March.
Ringing in the organisation’s 21st year as a trusted event partner for the leading global sporting event, the three-year extended contract will keep the vollies in green providing First Aid services to race patrons and staff at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit and at subsequent events in 2017 and 2018.
Throughout the four-day event, 130 First Aid volunteers will operate from five designated First Aid posts throughout the event precinct, aided by a Bicycle Emergency Response Team.

Our volunteers, including health professionals, are highly trained and very experienced First Aiders, meaning patrons can be sure if they do need assistance they’re in safe hands.
“Our volunteers love providing a service to our community at marquee events, like the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix. The colour, noise and excitement makes filling out this year’s event roster incredibly easy!”
