The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) will deliver leaders of the exhibition and event industry into the hands of Australia’s most clever innovation and leadership coaches at the 2013 EEAA Leaders Forum.

Dan Gregory, Gruen Transfer regular and Kieran Flanagan ex-boss of Australia’s premier creative school, AWARD will run 2 days of executive coaching designed to challenge organisers, venues and suppliers to test their business fitness.

The EEAA has also secured Greg Hywood, CEO of Fairfax Media to give a keynote address on the challenges facing the communications industry in a world where consumers want news and information on demand.

The EEAA 2013 Leaders Forum will be held at the Gibraltar Hotel Bowral in the NSW Southern Highlands on 16-17 April 2013.

Joyce DiMascio, General Manager EEAA said that the guest speakers had been carefully chosen to present high-level thought-leadership, market knowledge and business insights to the leaders from the exhibition and event industry.

“Dan Gregory, Kieran Flanagan and Greg Hywood have outstanding pedigree in working with big brands, big companies and big issues. Their leadership and expertise is highly acclaimed and we are expecting our members will be challenged and invigorated,” said Joyce DiMascio.

Dan Gregory is an expert advisor to CEOs and boards on how to lead with the power of a purposeful identity in a rapidly changing world. He has looked at the exhibition industry and believes there is a sizeable knowledge gap in what marketers know about exhibitions. He will be addressing these critical areas and offering powerful insights around industry, audience, product and communications identity.

Kieran Flanagan is one of the most successful creative women to have emerged from Australia’s male-dominated advertising industry. She is a passionate advocate for the commercial power of creativity and a return to more human communication, engagement and leadership.

Greg Hywood has a wealth or knowledge in business management and Government. He is a former Executive Director, Policy and Cabinet in the Victorian Government and CEO of Tourism Victoria. In recent years, he has held a number of board positions including the Tourism and Transport Forum and the Victorian Major Events Company.  He is currently steering Fairfax Publishing through a major period of change and reform and has many insights to offer around managing strategic change and the media.

“The Forum program provides high-level thought leadership to engage leaders from the organiser, venue and supplier network in discussions which will shape the direction of the industry as well as an opportunity for our industry leaders to network with their peers.’’ continued Joyce DiMascio.
